There is a virus on this site that pretends to be a windows virus protection. If it pops up on your screen get ot of the net without clicking anything on it and use your own virus protection to scan your computer right away. I used Webroot's Spysweeper and if found it. It did not block it in time like it does most stuff. Be warned!

Yea, I've noticed it too. I used task manager to shut it down. Sometimes with these things, clicking anywhere on the box lets it install.I did a scan with two different programs after and came up clean, so hopefully I'm OK.It is annoying though.

i really hate virus scanners. they never get the bad ones in time. one day my comp is gonna go caput and i won't know what happened. man. now i'm antsy! thanks for the heads up though. i'll tell my computer literate sister

I'm sure it's the same thing I experienced. I only got it when i went into my messages. I complained about it and they're asking for info I can't provide like what ad was on the page. I never got to see any ad on the DA page cause i was redirected so fast. I took a screen shot or the supposed scan.It shows it scanning an empty drive. Here is the screen shot. [link]
